I mean, I believe that Ms. Pang's poster is ill-conceived (although I hesitate to call it racist) and could be easily interpreted as stereotype-enforcing. Yet, because you disagree with me, I don't call you racially ignorant, bigoted and insensitive, prone to ignoring the subtleties and complexities of racism and stereotypes. I don't discourage you from leaving a dissenting opinion, as if my own perspective is the be-all and end-all of what is and isn't racist. And for the record, I don't see Jesus in grilled cheese sandwiches. However, I will admit that I do see "Hello Kitty" in my grilled cheese sandwiches; I just got a Hello Kitty toaster (which makes Hello Kitty faces on your toast) for Christmas.
